Installation of an audiovisual experience in a prestigious visitor centre

A prestigious visitor centre was constructed on a lake near the power plant to demonstrate the environmental benefits of recycling and waste management.

Solution

Carillion designed an audiovisual system that blends in with the building's architecture. Signals are sent through existing cabling to maintain quality and reduce costs. Large displays are hung from the ceiling's purlins, while loudspeakers are discreetly mounted. A purpose-built lectern with a preview screen, PC input, and touchscreen control panel was also designed for the auditorium area.

Result

Within a few seconds, the user can assign sources to different screens, using the neat and portable wireless control panel, and customise the space for a specific exhibition, meeting or event.

In addition to the project's complexity, all the installation had to be undertaken outside regular working hours.
