Carillion Communications Supports Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service This Easter

At Carillion Communications, we're always looking for ways to give back to our community. This Easter, our team came together to support the incredible work of Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service by collecting Crème Eggs. These treats will be transformed into adorable animals with hand-knitted outfits, spreading a little joy while raising funds for the hospice.

A Vital Cause

Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service provides specialist care and support to more than 165 families across the region. Their team offers essential respite, palliative and end-of-life care, ensuring children receive the best possible support. With over 80% of their funding coming from charitable donations, they are always finding new and creative ways to raise funds and continue their vital work.

A Generous Response

To make it easy for people to contribute, we set up an Amazon wishlist where our community could purchase and donate Crème Eggs. The response was nothing short of amazing!

Thanks to the generosity of our colleagues, clients and friends, we collected a staggering 1,788 Crème Eggs. Every single donation will help support the hospice's mission and bring smiles to the children and families they care for.

From Chocolate to Charming Fundraisers

What happens next? The Alexander Devine team of talented volunteers will now get to work knitting and crocheting tiny outfits for each egg. Soon, all these chocolates will be dressed up as bunnies, chicks and even fish! Once decorated, they'll be sold to raise much-needed funds to keep the hospice running and ensure children and families continue to receive the support they need.

So far, we have sold 360 dressed eggs – raising an additional £1,080!
